Some artists make music to escape their reality. ZBII makes music that proves reality doesn't have to steal your joy.
Formerly known as NarlyBoyy, ZBII (pronounced “Zebby”) is a global artist whose sound bridges the journey from the Ivory Coast to Hawaiʻi, fusing Afrobeats, Dancehall, and Reggae into a vibrant, feel-good sound rooted in resilience, faith, and freedom. His story is one of relentless reinvention. After leaving Africa at eight, he pursued college football before losing his scholarship and facing a two-year period of homelessness in Las Vegas. Along the way, he lost multiple friends to gun violence in Philadelphia and repeatedly went into debt pursuing his music career. Yet through every setback, ZBII has held onto something adversity could never take: his joy.
Today, he creates daily from a bedroom closet studio, transforming personal struggles into music built to move people. Five artist-name changes and multiple career restarts later, his pursuit remains unchanged: to make timeless records that bring people together, lift spirits, and remind listeners that their circumstances do not define their future. His sound carries the energy of celebration with the depth of someone who understands what it means to lose, rebuild, and keep believing.
That same conviction extends beyond music. ZBII founded The Superia Group, a brand rooted in faith, growth, and community. For him, success is about more than streams, recognition, or financial gain; it is about building something meaningful and reaching people who feel overlooked, broken, or too far gone to find their way back.
Refusing to let hardship dictate his outlook, ZBII embodies a rare balance of perseverance and genuine joy. His music is an invitation to keep moving, keep believing, and find reasons to celebrate even when life gets difficult. From open-road escapes to beachside gatherings and everything in between, ZBII creates a soundtrack for living fully—a reminder that happiness is not the absence of adversity, but the decision to keep showing up with hope, purpose, and a song worth sharing.
